Wild Lochaber Festival – 18th – 25th June 2013
From the highest mountain to the deepest loch, there is nowhere in Europe that can surpass Lochaber, for its iconic features, wildlife and wild places.
The Wild Lochaber Festival will be a week-long celebration of the incredible wildlife and geology that can be experienced in this region. A series of organised events to be held during the Festival week are designed to show visitors and residents the best areas in Lochaber to spot wildlife and see the most interesting landscapes.
This years festival is set to be bigger and better with over 40 workshops and events from an extensive range of activity providers, wildlife guides and organisations.
There are many activities on offer in the Small Isles including Wildlife and histroical walks on Canna, Wildlife and evenign birdsong walsk on Eigg, Geology and birdwatching on Rum, Boat trips from Rum to Soay to spot seabirds and cetaceans, and even Beach Qigong, a new way to tune in with Nature the Chinese way with the backdrop of the Rum Cuillins on Laig beach
